Maine's two U.S. Senate candidates campaigned around the state on Oct. 31, three days before the election, WMTW reported.

Democrat Troy Jackson took part in a canvassing event in Bangor with the Maine Democratic Party, then went to Portland to trick-or-treat. Asked about his closing argument to voters, Jackson said the question was whether people are satisfied with the government they have now, pointing to what he described as the strain of health care expenses, fuel prices, prescription drugs, child care and tariffs on residents across Maine.

Collins started the day at a hunter's breakfast in Old Town marking the start of hunting season, according to her campaign, and then attended a trunk-or-treat at Cross Point Church in Bangor. In a statement issued by her campaign, Collins said it was "a pleasure to spend the morning with so many local families" and cited the turnout as a show of community in Bangor.

This story was first reported by WMTW.
