Maine Schools Must Adopt Cardiac Emergency Plans By Fall 2026
A new state law requires schools to have cardiac emergency response plans ready for student athletes.
A new Maine law requires schools to create response plans for cardiac emergencies involving student athletes, NEWS CENTER Maine reported. Beginning in the fall of 2026, schools must have those plans ready specifically for cardiac emergencies that occur at school sporting events. NEWS CENTER Maine did not report additional details on how schools must design or carry out their plans.
