Maine's Business Openings And Expansions Of 2026 So Far

Maine businesses reported openings, expansions and groundbreakings in nearly every month from January through September of 2026. Restaurants, cafes and food producers made up the largest cluster, with new spots opening from Bangor and Portland to Bath, Blue Hill and Jonesboro, while established operators such as Taj and Azul Agave expanded into additional towns.

Housing and health care projects also carried multi-million-dollar price tags.
