Portland Explosion Hits Intersection Normally Packed On Sunny Days

A small explosion closed an intersection in Portland and sent bricks flying, NEWS CENTER Maine reported. Portland Fire Deputy Chief Jonathan Hendricks said the incident occurred at a time when the area typically would have been crowded. "We were lucky; normally, on a nice sunny day, this area would be packed," Hendricks said.
