Algal Bloom Battered Maine Shellfish; Nor'easter May Bring Relief
A powerful nor'easter expected Sept. 26-27 could ease the algal bloom damaging Maine's shellfish industry, experts told WMTW.
WMTW reported that a large algal bloom in the Gulf of Maine has damaged the Maine coast's shellfish industry. Experts told the station they are cautiously optimistic that the strong nor'easter expected to sweep through Maine on September 26-27 could ease the bloom. WMTW did not name the experts or explain how the storm might help.
