Sweetser Official Says Maine's School Mental Health Staff Need Support Too

Dr. Jayne Pelletier, the training director for Sweetser, appeared on WMTW's Maine's Total Coverage to discuss the toll the school year can take on the adults who support Maine students. The segment noted that each new school year draws focus to rising anxiety and stress among students and their families, and that the same period can be difficult for school social workers, counselors, teachers and clinicians who work with them. Pelletier addressed those difficulties and the resources available to school staff facing them. WMTW did not report additional detail about specific programs she described.
