After six years of renovations, the Maine State Museum in Augusta will welcome visitors again on Oct. 24, Maine Public reported.

Jennifer Rooks, who hosts the network's Maine Calling program, toured the building on Oct. 9 and saw a number of the new exhibits ahead of the opening, the outlet said.

The museum will be the subject of the program's Oct. 13 episode, broadcast live at 11 a.m. Maine Public asked viewers to post questions about the museum in the comments section of its video.
