Eastern Trail Opens Full 16-Mile Route To Saco

Organizers held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Eastern Trail, marking completion of the 16-mile route between South Portland and downtown Saco, according to NEWS CENTER Maine. The ceremony celebrated the trail opening in full after the entire stretch was finished. NEWS CENTER Maine's report centered on the ceremony and the trail's length and endpoints, and did not include the project's cost, funding sources or how long construction took. The Eastern Trail now connects South Portland and Saco's downtown along the full 16-mile distance organizers cited at the event.
