Maine has been awarded $20 million in federal funding to support companies developing new products made from wood, NEWS CENTER Maine reported. The money is intended to back manufacturers working on innovative uses for wood, including jet fuel, food packaging and materials for 3D-printed construction. The report did not specify which companies will receive the funding or how the $20 million will be distributed among them.
