Volunteers with the River Valley Wood Bank added cut wood to the group's stockpile in Rumford on Oct. 8, building up its supply ahead of the heating season, according to a video report from the Press Herald.

Shannon Glover said people are already contacting the wood bank about the cost of heating fuel. "I'm already getting calls from people worried about oil," Glover said, describing callers who say they cannot afford oil as temperatures drop.

The video was produced by Bruce Farrin.
