Katahdin Bankshares Corp., the Houlton parent of Katahdin Trust, said on Oct. 20 that it earned $3.3 million, or $1.04 per share, in the third quarter of 2026, according to a company announcement distributed by PR Newswire.

That figure was about 35.7% higher than the $2.4 million, or 76 cents per share, the company earned in the preceding quarter, and 23.2% above the $2.7 million, or 84 cents per share, posted in the same period of 2025.

The bank's loan book stood at $946.9 million as of the close of the quarter, an increase of 11.3% over 12 months. Deposits climbed by $78.8 million year over year to $1.01 billion, and assets totaled $1.18 billion as of Sept. 30, 2026.

Jon J. Prescott, president and chief executive of Katahdin Trust, said the quarter showed "continued momentum in earnings and balance sheet growth" and that the bank was concentrating on customers and shareholder value.

Katahdin Trust was founded in 1918 and runs 16 locations. Shares of the holding company trade on the OTCQX Market under the ticker KTHN.
