Blue Hill's Top Recent Sale, $5.75 Million, Skipped the Open Market
The sale led three Blue Hill shorefront deals that topped $13 million combined within about a month, the Bangor Daily News reported.

Three shorefront homes in Blue Hill changed hands within about a month for a total of more than $13 million, the Bangor Daily News reported, a sign that demand and prices for coastal Maine waterfront remain high.
The top sale, 68 Sculpin Point Lane, was never publicly listed. Tax filings show it sold for $5.75 million in late February to an LLC that shares the property's name and lists a Deerfield, Massachusetts, mailing address.
On March 17, 492 Parker Point Road sold for $4.062 million two weeks after it was listed. The 1922 Tudor-style house, known as "Ledgewood Clippings," has about 4,000 square feet and 12 rooms on 8.2 acres, with close to 1,000 feet of private shoreline, a dock, a cove and three deep-water moorings.
Earlier in March, 541 East Blue Hill Road went for $3.255 million. The Cape Cod-style home, designed in 1984, sits on 34 acres and has 4,368 square feet of living space. Its six-bedroom, four-bath layout is split between a main house and a guest apartment. Public tax filings list the buyer as an LLC based in Florida.
Listings for the properties noted they are close to the town's yacht and country clubs.
