Eleven residential properties changed hands in Bangor between July 5 and July 11, including two that sold for more than $500,000 apiece, according to state transfer tax records reviewed by the Bangor Daily News. Prices for the week averaged above $346,000, well ahead of the $315,000 median Redfin reported in May for a single-family home in the city. The newspaper said weekly sales counts in Bangor have stayed in the double digits since late May, consistent with the seasonal uptick that hits Maine's real estate market each summer. The BDN compiles the weekly sales list from publicly available state transfer tax filings as part of its ongoing housing coverage.
