The downtown Bangor restaurant 11 Central is for sale, with an asking price of $500,000, Q106.5 reported on October 29, 2026.

Owners Mike and Melissa Towle, who took over the restaurant in 2020, put it on the market as they look to reduce the number of businesses they run and spend more time with their children, according to the report. The couple have been connected to other Bangor establishments, including the Penobscot Pour House and Happy Endings.

Mike Towle said in an online post that the choice was "a bittersweet one" and that the couple were ready to slow down.

The sale covers the operating business rather than the real estate. The space is leased and the building belongs to another owner. A listing by Coldwell Banker describes a turnkey operation with roughly 49 seats in the dining and lounge areas and 12 more at the bar, and says the name, menu recipes, website and social media accounts, phone numbers, point-of-sale system, furnishings, kitchen and bar equipment and inventory are part of the deal.

11 Central opened in 2012 and has changed hands more than once. The restaurant closed on October 28, 2026 because of a mechanical problem and said on Facebook it would reopen at 4 p.m. on October 29.
