Star Mesa Capital has bought the Ocean Point Inn in East Boothbay, a 61-room waterfront hotel, brokerage firm JLL announced on Oct. 20, 2026. JLL acted for the seller, East Boothbay Bluebird Holdings LLC. Terms were not disclosed.
The inn sits at 191 Shore Road on roughly 12.5 acres facing Linekin Bay and the Atlantic, with 42,890 square feet spread across 17 buildings. Built in 1945 and given a full renovation in 2023, it offers rooms, suites and cottages, plus a waterfront restaurant and bar, an outdoor pool, a gift shop, more than 80 parking spaces and housing for seasonal staff, according to JLL. Lark, the current operator, is staying on under the new ownership.
The hotel is about seven miles from Boothbay Harbor and draws business from vacationers, weddings, retreats and visitors to nearby research and educational institutions, JLL said. Alan Suzuki, a JLL senior managing director, led the brokerage team and said the inn gives the buyer "a strong operational foundation."
Star Mesa Capital, part of a firm founded in 2012, generally pursues deals of $5 million to $15 million and is closed to outside investors.
